About DefendHer
DefendHer was born from a simple truth: young women of faith deserve to walk in freedom — not fear. We blend practical safety training with Scripture, community, and mentorship to build defenders from the inside out.
Every lesson is anchored in God's Word. Participants leave not only safer, but spiritually fortified with the truth of who they are.
Real skills taught by trained facilitators — from self-defense basics to digital literacy — designed for real-world application.
A safe circle of young women learning, growing, and holding each other accountable. No woman walks this path alone.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into faith communities. Curriculum kits, facilitator training, and ongoing support available.
Our Story
DefendHer was built by two people with one shared mission — raising strong, safe, and faith-filled young women. As parents, partners, and community servants, Danielle and Ben bring their hearts and expertise together in every aspect of this program.
Danielle and Ben are husband and wife, and the proud parents of two beautiful daughters — Laila and Kherington. DefendHer isn't just a program to them — it's personal. Every lesson, every pillar, and every prayer poured into this ministry reflects the same love and intention they bring to raising their own girls.
Co-Founder
Danielle is a passionate servant whose heart beats for her community — especially its youth. Trained as an elementary educator, she discovered her true calling through hands-on volunteer work at her daughters' dance studio, their local church, and community programs throughout the area.
Her gift is connection. Whether she's in a classroom, a gymnasium, or a circle of young women, Danielle has a rare ability to make every girl feel seen, valued, and equipped. She brings warmth, wisdom, and an unwavering belief that every young woman deserves to walk through this world with confidence.
Co-Founder
Ben is an emergency medicine physician who has spent his career on the front lines of community health and safety. His work in the ER has given him a clear-eyed understanding of the real dangers young people face — and a deep conviction that prevention is far more powerful than intervention.
As the father of two daughters, his dedication to raising strong, empowered young women has grown into a special passion for youth development. Ben brings medical expertise, practical wisdom, and a father's heart to everything DefendHer does.
